Abstract: | The research prepared for review and study on Oil Spill Response (OSR) along Kuala Terengganu Coastal Area include the suitability of OSR recovery and assessment method comprise the action that would be implement if incident occurs. Moreover, to give recommendation/suggestion according to the problem arises and detected toward the best way of OSR strategies method recovery and aspects that could be analyzes. In Kuala Terengganu or Malaysia, the oil spill response divide to 2 categories such Shore oil spillage cleaning (oil spill attach to beach) and off shore. Include the involvement of the private sector as contractor such PIMMAG and variety of cooperation by authority and depend on the stages or recognize as tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3. In addition, the research also reviews the effects on tourism, aquacultures, marine ecosystem if incident from other countries as the literature review. The estimation spillage base on measuring oil spills spreads by trawling angler boat. It also analyses the factor that contribute toward oil spillages fast spread such winds direction, tide, current forces, the high risk area in Kuala Terengganu that suppose to be the main area that risky if exposing to the oil spillage. In additional, also reassess the technique been use to combat the oil spillage by the authority and private sector. |
