dc.description.abstract A total number of 60 Sergeant Major (Abudefduf saxatilis) fishes from the family Pomacentridae were collected from Bidong Island and were diagnosed. Most all the fishes were found to be infected by parasites. The ectoparasites were the isopod from genus Rocinela sp. which were mainly found attached to the gill chamber meanwhile monogenea (Pseudohaliotrema sp.) were found clinging to the gill filaments. Two endoparasites were found which was the digenea (Fellodistomum sp.) and nematodes ( Cucullanus sp.) parasitize the intestine of the fishes. The prevalence was I 00% and mean intensity of the parasites of Abudefduf saxatilis was 16.18. The morphological characteristics of these parasites were described, illustrated and identified taxonomically. en_US
