dc.description.abstract A study about nematode in marine fish was conducted on Decapterus punctatus or known as round scad by the local people. 30 samples of fishes were purchased at the Pantai Batu Rakit, Terengganu and transported to the laboratory where the examination of the fishes to find the nematodes was conducted here. The weight (g), total length, standard length, and fork length in cm of the fish were measured and the data was recorded throughout the study. The incision was made onto the fish by using a pair of sharp scissor. The internal organs especially the stomach was cut out and put into a petri dish immediately covered with saline water. The internal organs were examined for the nematodes. It was observed that the infection level was high in fishes of length between 24 cm to 27 cm and weight between 150.5 g to 170.5 g. The species of nematode that have been found is from the Anisakis sp. larva. en_US
