dc.description.abstract |
Microalgae lipids and oils are potential candidates for renewable-biofuels and nutritional purposes. It has long been known that many microalgae species accumulate substantial amount of lipids and oils under environmental stresses, presumably by channelling the photosynthesis product originally allocated to support cell division and growth to the production of energy-rich storing molecules. |
