dc.description.abstract Solid state hydrogen storage has been an attractive option due to the high gravimetric hydrogen capacity and favourable safety considerations compared with compressed and liquid hydrogen storage. Among the solid state materials, magnesium hydride is one of the potential candidates for hydrogen storage material. The major drawbacks of magnesium hydride are the slow absorption and desorption kinetic and high temperature required for efficient hydride decomposition. en_US
