Abstract:
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an important aspect in reducing
risk and accidents in the workplace. The high number of accidents in
manufacturing industry leads to the question of “whether, in the quest of
optimizing productivity, employers pay enough concern to the safety and
health of the employees?” While many factors contributed to workplace
accidents, safety-related behaviors act as the important key in promoting
safety culture. The purpose of the study is to measure whether there is a
significant relationship between the behavioral aspects and the safety
culture in the manufacturing industry in Peninsular Malaysia.
