| dc.description.abstract | Various metabolites are known to be produced by sponges and their associated microorganisms where many clinically active compounds were produced by fungi associated with sponges rather than bacteria associated with sponges. ln this study, the potential of marine fungi isolated from sponges to produce bioactive compounds were investigated and characterized. Sponges were collected from Bidong and Karah Island, Terengganu and the fungi were isolated using Potato Dextrose Agar Seawater (PDASW), Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) and Natural Seawater Agar (NSWA). | en_US |
