dc.description.abstract Over 14 000 flatfish larvae were col1ected from the shelf waters of the Central Great Barrier Reef, Australia, during August l'J'78 to December 1981, from which 11 types (Fam. Psettodidae and Bothidae) were identified to species. Descriptions of larval development sequence of these species, namely: Psettodes erumei, Pseudorhombus arsius, Pscudorhombus elevatus, Pseudorhombus spinosus, Pseudorhombus diplospilus, Grammatobotbus polyophthalmus, Grammatobothus pennatus, Asterorhombus intermedius, Enggprosopon grandisquama, Engyprosopon bleekeri, and Arnoglossus waitei are given. en_US
