dc.description.abstract Nepenthes is one of the carnivorous plant species commonly found on oligotropic soil condition including heath vegetation of Beach Ridges Interspersed with Swales (BRIS) of Terengganu. This study examined the association of Nepenthes and insect community in Rantau Abang and Setiu, Terengganu, from August 2006 to January 2007. Morphological attributes (length of pitchers and diameter of peristomes) of Nepenthes together with pH of pitchers' liquid were recorded in situ. Insects and other organisms in Nepenthes aerial and terrestrial pitchers were counted and noted its abundance. Two species of Nepenthes were found on sampling sites which were N. gracilis and N. mirabilis. en_US
