dc.description.abstract Both PTP and JPB are owned by MMC Corp Bhd. PTP is a leading port in container operation in Malaysia. The propose by MMC Corp Bhd. which is to streamline operations at the two ports which the plan had been to have PTP focus on containerised cargo, while JPB would handle bulk traffic. This issue arise when MMC corp proposed to rationalise between the two ports which is to increase the competitiveness of each port to reduce the cargo leakages to the others port within the region. This paper provides an overview on this issue which the scope of study will focus on JPB, PTP and haulier service that serve both port. This research is a study to provide review which show that the need of the consolidation plan is vital and review on the problem arise for the consolidation plan to take place and propose solution to overcome it. en_US
