A study on common problem onboardship that affected seafarer quality of work

Abstract

This study was done in order to analyze and determi,:ie the common problem onboard ship that affected seafarer quality of work. One of the famous and efficiency modes of transportation was by water. Water transportation has been use for a long time ago. It is the one the global economy catalyst. Now a day, this type of transportation is used as a basic transport or trade. It is one of the alternatives for transport a cargo to the other country by using vessels. While transporting the cargo, problems may occur to the ship and crew. Long period of time to transport the goods are one of examples of the problems face by seafarer. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the problems that always face by seafarer. Second one are, is to identify what re the factors that contribute to the problems. Last but not least, are to determine some recommendation that perhaps can reduce the common problems occur on ship as well as to the crew. The methods of this research are done by; interview, questionnaire and study of the related research. The research framework was created to classify the flow and the main picture of the study. The problems occur onboard ship actually can affect the performances of the crew and even disturbed the operation of the ship. Based on the problems, factor and recommendation, perhaps we can reducing the problems from occur onboard ship nevertheless can smoother the operation to the ship to maintain the transportation of goods are in good condition.
