A study on shipbuilding productivity and its correlation with shipyard layout at MSET shipbuilding at Pulau Duyung

Abstract

The compatibility of shipyard design and its layout affect the production of the shipbuilding. This study concerns about the production workflow at shipbuilding workshop and its optimization to improve its productivity. Productivity and efficiency of a shipyard workshop are influence by various factors such as layout of equipment, facilities and working area. ln this project, the project flow at MSET Shipbuilding had been studied and identify whether it can be optimised or not and will convey the readers on how the layout can influence the productivity of work at shipyard.
