Abstract

Fishing is one of the economic resources of the Malaysia people. Work as fishermen often faced off with danger in the middle of the ocean. However, is there any fishing vessel in Malaysia is equipped with safety features in terms of radio communications equipment? The purpose of this study is to determine potential impact if Malaysia implementing STCW-F 1995 in term of certification and competency for radio communication equipment's. The objective of this study was to determine the potential impact of implementing stcw-f 1995 by malaysia: certification and competency for radio communication equipments. For the methodology, the primary resources will be obtained through questionnaires and field observations. Then, the secondary resources will be obtained through publications, journals, articles, thesis and texts related to the case study. The descriptive analysis of questionnaire is carried out according to the section A and B.
